Kia ora.

Hello, my name is Melissa. I love food, who doesn't love food. I have 5 members in my family (including me). My mum is from the Philippines - that makes me half filipino. I have a lot friends.  I love swimming because it’s very refreshing on a hot summer's day. I am very short for my age but I'll have to get used to it.

I go to a public intermediate school called Gisborne Intermediate. A subject that I struggle with is maths. I love writing, it’s a way you can express yourself. Gis Int is a great place because there's so many opportunities that you shouldn't miss out on. So many choices to choose from. At Gis Int you'll never be alone because there's so many people here.

I'm looking forward to action week, the DISCOs and making new friends. My achievements are two full assembly certificates and  the Turanganui Tonga. My inspiration would be Anna Kendrick, Gwen Stefani and Ronda Rousey

The reason they're my inspiration is because Anna Kendrick is an amazing actress. She's funny and thoughtful.  I wish I could see her face one day. I love Gwen Stefani because she tells girls they can be whoever they want to be and she has so much style. She's just a powerful woman. My last inspiration is Ronda Rousey because she proves that girls can be stronger than boys.
